Overview

OpenXBL operates at xbl.io, managed by Bstack Networks, LLC and BitBoss Development. By using our services, you agree to these terms. You must meet Xbox Live's age requirements to use this service.

Service Description

OpenXBL provides an API gateway to Xbox Live services. We offer various subscription tiers with different rate limits. All plans include access to all API endpoints, unlimited API keys and apps, request logs, and community support.

Intellectual Property

OpenXBL does not own or control Xbox Live services. All Xbox-related trademarks and data belong to Microsoft. We provide API access only and make no claims to Xbox Live intellectual property.

Subscription & Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades apply at the next billing cycle.

Access is tied to individual Microsoft user accounts. Your API keys are for your use only and should not be shared.

Refunds

We offer prorated refunds within 14 days of purchase. Contact support at [email protected] for assistance.

Rate Limits

Each plan has an hourly rate limit. Requests exceeding your limit will receive a 429 error. Additionally, Microsoft's Xbox Live services enforce their own per-user throttling independent of your OpenXBL plan.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Circumvent rate limits or abuse the service
  • Use the API for cheating or exploiting Xbox Live services
  • Share API keys or resell access
  • Violate Microsoft's terms of service
  • Use the service for any illegal purposes

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or enable cheating. Suspended accounts may appeal through support.

Service Availability

OpenXBL is provided "as is" without warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Any endpoint or functionality could cease to operate due to changes in Microsoft's Xbox Live services, which are outside our control.

Privacy & Data

We collect only the data necessary to provide our services:

  • Xbox Live profile information (gamertag, XUID, avatar)
  • Email and phone number for account verification
  • API request logs for usage tracking
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)

We do not sell your personal data. Request logs are retained for billing and debugging purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Limitation of Liability

OpenXBL and its operators are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use our services.

You agree to indemnify OpenXBL against any claims, damages, or legal fees arising from your use of the API, including violations of these terms or Microsoft's terms of service.

Governing Law & Disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state courts of Pennsylvania. You agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting support before filing any claim.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
